Life's a catwalk: Jeffrey Campbell Spring/Summer 2013
Das Enfant terrible der Designer - Jeffrey Campbell zeigt seit knapp dreizehn Jahren exzentrisches Schuhwerk und schreckt dabei nicht vor schwindelerregenden Höhen, kunterbunten Prints und auffälligen Applikationen zurück. Während wir bereits im September über den Hype des Labels diskutierten scheint uns Campbell das Fazit bis heute nicht zu erleichtern. Auch für Frühjahr/Sommer 2013 präsentiert der Modeschöpfer mit "Life's a catwalk" wieder einmal eine ausgefallene Kollektion für wagemutige Absatzträgerinnen.
Campbell zeigt zur kommenden Saison eine Kombination aus Graphic Prints und Glamrock. Knallige Farben, florale Litas und Korkabsatz treffen auf goldene Nieten an Heels und Plateau-Sneakers. Gewagte Designs, die man sonst eher an extrovertierten Laufstegheldinnen sieht. Die Glamrock Reihe der Kollektion inklusive des türkisfarbenen Sneakers mit Animalapplikation scheint uns ein bisschen zu viel des Guten. Als tragbares und persönliches Highlight der Kollektion präsentiert sich dagegen der weiße Plateau mit buntem Kork-Absatz. Er ließe sich auch gut zu einem luftigen Kleid während der nächsten Sommerparty kombinieren, auch wenn die gerade noch in weiter, weiter Ferne liegt.
