Fred de la Bretonière, Gründer von Shabbies Amsterdam wurde 1976 zum besten Schuh- und Taschendesigner der Niederlande gekürt. Das ist zwar jetzt schon eine ganze Weile her, doch auch heute ist er noch sehr erfolgreich. Das liegt daran, dass das Label besonderes Augenmerk auf hohe Qualität, umweltfreundliches Färben des Leders und Tragekomfort legt.
Die Schuhe der Frühjahr/Sommer Kollektion sprechen wahrscheinlich eher bodenständige, klassische Typen, statt extravagante, mutige Trägerinnen an. Grund dafür sind die nicht gerade besonders aufregenden Formen. Trotzdem, oder gerade deswegen, haben uns zwei Modelle auf den ersten Blick überzeugt. Da ist zum Einen die Stiefelette in bronzemetallic, die durch ihren leichten Schimmer das gewisse Etwas verliehen bekommt, allerdings nicht zu aufdringlich ist. Außerdem gefallen uns die braunen Schnür-Boots im dezenten Used-Look. Wir können sie uns perfekt zu Jeansshorts und Karohemd, aber auch zu einem leichten Sommerkleid vorstellen. Müssten wir ein Exemplar der Kollektion benennen, das uns am wenigsten zusagt, dann wäre es sicherlich der Mokassin-Pumps. Sorry, aber das ist einfach eine Kombination aus zwei Schuhformen, die unserer Meinung nach leider nicht funktioniert.
