Kollaboration: Clarks treffen auf Harris Tweed
Wer bei dem ganzen Regen in den letzten Tagen bereits in Herbst-Laune ist, der wird sich über die Kollaboration des Labels Clarks besonders freuen. Denn das britische Traditionshaus kleidet seine Schuhe für Herbst/Winter 2012 mit dem Harris Tweed ein. Das Material, das einst dem englischen Adel und den gut situierten vorbehalten war, wird nun straßentauglich gemacht.
Der Harris Tweed hat seinen Namen von der "Isle of Harris", wo der Stoff aus reiner Schurrwolle produziert wird. In jahrelanger Traditionsarbeit wird die Wolle von den Einwohnern gefärbt, gesponnen und von Hand gewebt. In diesem Herbst verleiht der Tweed den Clarks-Modellen einen folkloristischen Glanz. Ein klassischer Heel in Schwarz oder Grün wird mit einem Absatz und der Kappe aus Leder verziert. Ein Schnürer im Brogue-Stil wirkt dank Zierlochung und kleinem Absatz feminin. Und die Clarks Originals werden mit Tweed in Blau und Rot zum britischen Original.
