Vans & Married to the Mob Sneaker
Gerade tauchten die ersten Bilder einer Kollaboration von Vans und dem New Yorker Streetstyle-Label Married to the Mob auf und schon heißt es, dass die Sneaker bereits 2009 designt wurden und leider wohl nicht in Produktion gehen. Wirklich zu schade, wenn man mal einen näheren Blick auf die High-Tops wirft. In schwarzem. weißem oder roten Lack erkennt man schöne Details wie den typischen MOB Schriftzug, Kussmünder und Kleeblätter.
Nach der ersten großen Begeisterungswelle über diese Kollaboration stellten die Designerinnen von Married to the Mob auf ihrem Blog schnell alles richtig:
"Most people don't know that we were supposed to release a sneaker with the infamous VANS back in the Fall of '09, but it unfortunately fell through after our first samples were created. We all pretty much forgot about it, but about a week ago some flicks leaked onto the internet and we've been getting a ton of e-mails about their release since, so we figured that we should clarify here on the official site. They are not in production, nor available for purchase. That said, we're always feeling VANS and all of their collabs."
Wir hoffen, dass Vans einlenkt und die Schuhe doch noch in den Verkauf gehen, denn diese Kollaboration finden wir noch viel toller, als die Spitzen-Sneaker, die MOB zusammen mit Lacoste entwarf.
