Swear Hybridschuh-Schaufenster in London
„What we really looked to do was create something that would be visually interesting and also fit in with the brand and the store. The store is a very minimal place, all white and grey with lots of tiles and mirrors, almost like a surgery or a kitchen. It has a clinical feel to it.
Swear were the first brand to start doing the whole hybrid shoe/sneaker thing, so we thought it would be fun to create a kind of mini frankenstein-like surgery where we could display all these weird and wonderful hybrids of swear shoes.
We imagined men in white coats standing in an operating theatre performing amputations and grafts on shoes with angle-grinders, and we tried to bring elements of this to the window.
The Hybridism is something we were all really interested in and enjoyed not only incorporating it into the shoes, but also into the table, which is a mixture of tables combined with extra long legs tied on with shoelaces, and the angle-grinders which we never did get to test out...."
